SEAFORTH FRESH-CUT CLUB

Instructor:  Trina O'Rourke.  This class is more of a technique class over a stitching class.  Not to say we won't be stitching in it BUT the focus will be more on techniques rather than teaching stitches.  You will learn how to create different components using different methods.  Adding to your projects to create interest and diversity will set them apart from those who follow patterns to the letter!  Let the fun and creativity begin!

Date and Time:  We will meet ONE day a month from 10am-4pm
IN SEAFORTH
Saturday, April 13 - we will pick out and prep our pieces
Sunday, May 19
Saturday, June 15
Saturday, July 20
Saturday, August 25
Saturday, September 21
**NOTE - those attending the monthly class will get first opportunity to sign up for the following month.  IF there is enough interest additional classes could be added.

Location:  The Cotton Harvest, 220 Main St S, Seaforth
**NOTE - for Beaverton class dates and sign-up please go to www.farmgirlquilting.ca
Class Details: I'm dying to teach everybody what I learned in Sue Spargo's Indigo Vases class. I wondered how I could do that and came up with "The Fresh-Cut Club". You will begin creating by picking out which flower or group of flowers from Sue's FRESH CUT book that you'd like to recreate and in which vase you'd like to put them in! You may choose a few flowers from one block and a few from another. You may even choose different components from different vases as well. Create a one of a kind, unique piece using your own colours and your own creative thoughts.  Similar to the Sand Dollars workshop the possibilities are virtually endless. We will get together once a month and will focus on different techniques to help create and embellish your unique one-of-a-kind piece. You will learn how to use different products to create stems, how to make flowers with ribbon and fabric, how to make a tuffet and how to use yo-yos and hexis for embellishment! Each month will focus on a different component of your project!

I envision this club to be ongoing - once you begin you can come every month or just the months you want. Our classroom however only holds 7 people, when we're full we're full!

Supply List: Everybody MUST HAVE THEIR OWN copy of Sue Spargo's Fresh Cut pattern book, wool for background, wool bits and cottons, ricrac or ribbon, threads and specialty threads, yarns, beads etc. As usual, bring everything but the kitchen sink...and what you don't have you KNOW I'll have you covered!
